Medical Director

Dr. Clory has practiced emergency medicine across the country for over 20 years, and is currently Chief of Staff and Emergency Department at the Cobequid Community Health Center in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. He is also An Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Dalhousie University. Previously, Michael worked in finance and holds degrees from St. Francis Xavier, (BBA); McGIll (MD) and Dalhousie (MBA). 

Medical Director

Dr. Pickett has practiced emergency medicine for over 20 years and previously in combination with Family Medicine. He is a staff emergency physician at Cobequid Community Health Centre, Valley Regional Hospital and Colchester Regional Hospital. He is a native of Dartmouth and graduate of Dalhousie Medical School. 

Office Manager

Carla has been with ScotiaMed since its inception and assumed the position of office manager in 2009. Prior to working at the clinic Carla owned and operated a successful cleaning company. 

Family Physician

Dr. Griffin is a second generation physician having grown up in metro Halifax. She is a a graduate of Acadia(BSc) and Dalhousie(MD). Dr. Griffin is not currently accepting new patients. Dr. Griffin does accept prenatal referrals.

Family Physician

Dr. Nour Issa is a family physician with experience in cardiology and hospital-based care. Born and raised in Jordan, she immigrated to Canada in 1997 and completed her undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University. She trained in Family Medicine at Dalhousie, holds Associate Professor privileges, and works in both clinic practice and as a hospitalist at the Halifax Infirmary. Dr. Issa is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and lives in Bedford with her family. 

Family Physician

Dr. Jabeen has practiced family medicine for over 30 years. Additionally she works with seniors in long term care facilities, and has experience in emergency medicine. Dr. Jabeen is a preceptor at Dalhousie University; regularly mentoring and guiding medical students in her practice. She is originally from Karachi, Pakistan with a medical degree from DOW Medical College. Dr. Jabeen is not currently accepting new patients. 

Family Physician

Dr. Al-Busaidi is a family physician with a strong background in internal medicine, having completed Basic Physician Training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians before specializing in Family Medicine through the Academic Pathway to Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP). He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Obesity and Weight Management.

He practices comprehensive, patient-centered care, with a focus on continuity, long-term patient relationships, and support across all life stages. His clinical interests include managing complex chronic conditions such as diabetes and obesity, with an emphasis on practical, evidence-based care and prevention.
